
Summer 2022
Between July 10 and August 6, 2022, 18 STEMLA Fellows from all over the US joined us on Bryn Mawr's campus for the first in-person STEMLA program.
Summer 2022 Program Theme: Human and Environmental Impacts of Energy
While on campus, Fellows took three academic courses, participated in Metacognition workshops, explored Philadelphia, and traveled to the No. 9 Coal Mine in Coaldale, PA and the Silver Creek Acid Mine Drainage Remediation site in New Philadelphia, PA.

- Oil, Coal, Nuclear: Narrative Afterlives taught by José Veraga
- Geology of Energy and Extraction taught by Selby Hearth
- Quantitative Reasoning in STEM taught by Daisy Sudparid and Lisa Watkins
